Instructions: 7018 welding rod 3/32 is a carbon steel electrode of iron powder low hydrogen sodium type, and it can be welded by AC DCpower supply when the voltage is more than 70 volts, and it can be welded in full position.


Short arc must be used for welding operation, which is suitable for narrow welding.


The weld shape is beautiful, the splash is less, and the depth of the weld is moderate. 


The diffusion hydrogen content of the deposited metal is less than 8ml/100g. 


It must be dried at 350~380 degrees for 1 hours before drying. X ray flaw detection grade I grade I.


Purpose: suitable for welding of important low carbon steel and low alloy steel.

Weld position. 

The basic principle is that the diameter of the electrode can be larger when flat welding is carried out; in contrast, when the vertical welding, the transverse welding and the upward welding are carried out, the diameter of the welding rod should be smaller. The diameter of the electrode is usually 6mm, the vertical welding is not more than 5mm, and the transverse and overhead welding is not more than 4mm.


Welding level.

 In multi-channel welding, in order to prevent the defects of non weld, the smaller diameter (usually 3.2-4mm) should be selected when welding the first seam, and the larger diameter welding rod can be selected in the future.


The form of welded joint. Large diameter welding rods can be used for lap and T joint welds.
