Current Polarity Control: Standard E6011 requires DCEP; using DCEN (Direct Current Electrode Negative) or AC randomly will cause unstable arc, reduced penetration, and porosity. AC-compatible versions must be clearly marked by manufacturers.
Storage & Moisture Prevention: Store in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse (relative humidity ≤60%). Unused electrodes after opening should be kept in a moisture-proof cabinet or re-dried (drying temp: 80-100℃, holding time: 1-2 hours).
Recommended Welding Parameters: Adjust current based on electrode diameter:
2.5mm: 50-80A (for vertical/overhead welding)
3.2mm: 80-120A (for all positions)
4.0mm: 120-180A (for flat/horizontal welding)
Ventilation & Protection: Wear an N95 or higher dust mask; ensure good ventilation to avoid inhaling welding fumes (contains MnO, SiO₂) which may damage the respiratory system.
