Judgment and Handling of Severely Dampened Electrodes
Judgment Criteria: The coating has obvious white frost, caking, or cracks; the coating peels off when tapped; or violent spattering and a large number of pores occur during welding.
Handling Method: Such electrodes have lost their low-hydrogen performance and are strictly prohibited from being used for welding key structures. They can be downgraded for temporary welding of non-load-bearing parts (with approval from the technical supervisor) or directly scrapped.
