When the chromium-nickel stainless steel is welded, repeated heating will precipitate carbides, which will reduce the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. Therefore, the chromium-nickel stainless steel electrode should be properly selected according to the working conditions of the equipment (operating temperature and medium type, etc.). And pay attention to matters when using.
(1) The coating of stainless steel electrode usually has two kinds of titanium calcium type and low hydrogen type. The titanium-calcium type can be used for AC and DC, but the penetration depth is shallower during AC welding. At the same time, it is easier to redden when AC welding than DC welding. Therefore, DC power supply is used as much as possible. Can be welded in all positions, only for flat welding or flat fillet welding when the diameter is 5mm and larger
(2) All kinds of stainless steel electrodes should be kept dry when used, and should be baked before welding electrodes (can not be repeatedly dried, otherwise the coating will easily crack and peel), to prevent the electrode coating from sticking to oil and other dirt, so as not to melt Metallization increases the amount of carbon and affects the quality of welding.
(3) In order to prevent intergranular corrosion caused by heating, the current should not be too large during welding. Generally, it should be about 20% lower than that of carbon steel electrodes. At the same time, the arc should not be too long.
