5. Operation Precautions
Electrode Baking: Bake the electrodes at 350℃ for 1 hour before welding. After baking, store them in an insulation barrel at 80~120℃ for immediate use to avoid moisture absorption (moistened electrodes need to be re-baked, and re-baking should not exceed 2 times);
Welding Specifications: Short-arc welding is recommended to reduce gas intrusion; adopt narrow weld welding method to reduce welding deformation and stress concentration;
Base Metal Cleaning: Before welding, thoroughly remove impurities such as rust, oil, and moisture from the welding area of the base metal until the metallic luster is exposed;
Environmental Requirements: Avoid welding in environments with humidity >80% and wind speed >2m/s; when welding at low temperatures (<0℃), preheat the base metal to 100~200℃.
