What is the difference between welding wires AWS ERNiCrMo-3 VS AWS ERNiCr-3 ?

1. ERNiCrMo-3 welding wire is composed of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy, which is an increasingly popular nickel-based welding consumable used for joining and overlaying duplex stainless steel and other alloys. It provides superior corrosion-resistant cracking and stress corrosion-resistant properties in both the normal and severe service environments. With excellent joi t toughness and crack resistance, it is well suited for a wide range of dissimilar joint applications.

2.ERNiCrMo-3 welding wire is widely used in the petroleum industry, as well as in corrosive chemical or environmental situations such as closures and vessels, weld overlap regions, tubes, tanks and other general fabrication.

3.Compared to the ERNiCr-3 welding wire, the ENiCrMo-3 wire has the same chemical composition but with additional molybdenum to improve weld metal provisions, impact toughness and heat resistance.

4.Basically, welding wire  ERNiCr-3 is generally used for the welding of inconel 600 and 800 special dissimilar steels.

Nickel-based alloys are used with low carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, high temperature transition joints and low temperature 3Ni/5Ni steel

Welding wire ERNiCrMo-3 is mainly used for high-temperature alloy INCONEL601 800/800H, 9Ni steel for low temperature. It can also be used for 825 alloy, 904L and super-austenitic stainless steel 254SMO containing 6MO
