Storage Method And Instructions Of Welding Wire

- Dec 03, 2022-

1. Storage method

The temperature and humidity of the warehouse where the welding wire is stored can be controlled and adjusted. The room should be kept dry, clean and heated if necessary to prevent the room temperature from falling below the dew point. The relative humidity should not exceed 60%, and the room temperature should be above 15 degrees Celsius.

If the room temperature is lower than 10 degrees Celsius, when the welding wire is opened in a higher temperature environment, water vapor will condense on the surface of the welding wire, which will easily cause pores in the weld. Some necessary moisture-proof measures should also be taken, such as maintaining good ventilation, using moisture-proof agents or dehumidifiers, etc.

The storage of welding materials should be orderly, classified and stored in different areas. The outer cartons should not be stacked or leaned against each other, and an appropriate interval should be maintained. Different welding materials should be classified and stored in different areas, and have clear distinguishing marks. so as not to mix. The bottom welding material must be kept at a certain distance from the ground and walls to prevent moisture, and the stacking height should not be too high.

2. Re-dry if necessary

After the welding wire is taken out of the original packaging, it generally does not need to be rebaked. If possible, it should be used up within 2 days after unpacking the original packaging. Return to original packaging, and carefully seal back with original foil.

If the existing warehouse temperature is far from the temperature suggested in item 2 above, it needs to be re-baked at 200 degrees Celsius for 2 hours.
